#Poem – Tower of Dreams

You built me out of words -
From breath,
From sand,
From leftover borders,
The clippings of newspapers,
The silence between friends;
The electricity that we feel
From touching the screen
Imagining it's our fingers that touch.

You built me up
The tower of vivid dreams
The were not mine
That danced around me
And coloured in my footsteps
Much brighter than I could,
Until my feet splashed up blue
Up to my knees
And the colours streaking down my legs
As they ran.
Down the spiralling steps.
I started opening the windows
To let in the wind
To let in the air
To let in my dreams
So our dreams could become one.
